| The Phipps Center for the Arts presents the 29th Annual Afton Art in the Park. The fair will feature over 60 artists displaying original fine art and traditional crafts. Patrons are expected from throughout the greater Twin Cities metro area, outstate Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The fair will be held rain or shine. No dogs or radios are allowed in the park during the fair. | |
| - APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MARCH 15, 2008. A selection committee of members from The Phipps Visual Arts Council and community artists will jury all submissions. Priority will be given to those artists who have participated for the past three consecutive years with additional participants selected to balance work across media. - Festival exhibit space size is approximately 15 feet wide X 15 feet deep. - Minnesota law states that artists must have a Minnesota tax number in order to sell in the state. If you do not have a number, apply for one by calling the Minnesota Department of Revenue at 1-800-657-3605. - Please include a $100.00 entry fee for each exhibit space with your application. This fee will be used for advertising in the Twin Cities and local papers, printing posters and flyers, and administrative expenses. |

| Use the following procedures when submitting your work for consideration: 1. Send five accurate slides, not photos, which represent a current selection of your artwork. Label and identify each slide with your name at the top and medium at the bottom. Number slides 1-5. 2. Include a reference sheet with your name and address, listing slides by number. Also list dimensions of object(s) shown, and retail price. 3. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of your slides. 4. Complete and sign the application form below. 5. | All applicants will be notified of the selection committee's decision by April 30, 2008. Applicants will be refunded the entry fee if their work is not accepted. There will be no refunds after September 1, 2008. | |
