Stand-up Comedy

Instructor: Scott Novotny
July 8th - 29th, 2013

Instructor Scott Novotny comments, “Ever been told you’re funny, and you should try to do a stand-up comedy act? But how do you do it? This class teaches you how to build a stand-up comedy routine using your own material in a fun-filled environment.” A step-by-step approach will enable participants to develop a three to seven-minute routine that will be performed in the Black Box Theater at the end of the class on a special showcase night. “Whether you’re young or old, it’s never too late or early to start making people laugh. It’s a wonderful gift to share. Also, comedians who are already working and want a place to create some brand new material for their show are welcome, too,” the instructor adds.  The class is limited to 12 students.
