Wisconsin Brass Quintet

Sunday, February 19th, 7:00 pm

The ensemble-in-residence at the University of Wiscons - Madison "...plays with more reckless abandon, warmth, stylistic variety, and interpretive interest than almost any quintet in memory," according to the American Record Guide.

Tickets are $22 for adults and $15 for students of all ages.

Phipps Dance Company

March 9th - 10th, 2012

The Phipps Dance Company, consisting of fourteen area dancers aged 13 - 18, will be performing in the Black Box Theater.  Included in this year’s multi-faceted concert are  hip-hop, modern, lyrical, musical theater and contemporary ballet selections.

Outstanding musicians from the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra perform Beethoven's String Trio in G Major, Jeffrey Cotton's Mediation, Rhapsody & Bacchanal for Violin & Percussion (2004), and Dvorak's String Quartet in C Major, Op. 61.

"The high priestess of Celtic music."--Minnesota Public Radio. Celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a traditional trio with a richly Irish core, featuring wind-powered music from many Celtic traditions supported by a remarkable rhythm section, plus the additional delight of world-class Irish dancers.

John Rutter’s Requiem

A lyrical masterpiece of hope and comfort which combines the melodic simplicity of Bach with a distinctly modern sensibility by "the world's greatest living composer --- of choral music."

American Swedish Institute Spelmanslag

Saturday, May 5th, 7:30 pm

This beloved folk orchestra will perform waltzes, polkas, schottisches, walking tunes, and more.  It is leg by founder Paul Dahlin, recently knighted by the King of Sweden for carrying on the folk music tradition.
