Voice Lessons

January 1st - December 31st, 2013

Tony Holt, a former member of the King's Singers, will offer private voice lessons for ages 11 through adult on Mondays, beginning January 9

His lessons concentrate on singing in a healthy way, and enjoying a repertoire that can range from Bach to Broadway.  He encourages singers to perform without tension, to communicate well, and to enjoy their singing.

The fee is $30 per 30-minutes lesson.  Contact The Pipps for more information.

Private String Lessons

January 1st - December 31st, 2013

Private violin and viola lessons for students ages seven through adult will be offered throughout the year.

Sarah Bertsch has taught violin and coached ensembles for the past 13 years. Previous positions include: Northwestern College, Wooddale School of Music, Friendship School of Music, and Minnehaha Academy. She received her M.A. from St. John’s University and her B.A. from St. Olaf College.

Rhythms of the African Diaspora

a percussion camp for students entering grades 4 - 10, Instructor: Babatunde Lea
July 22nd - 26th, 2013

Learn Afro-Cuba and Afro-Brazil drumming traditions, which include drumming techniques, chants, dances, and cultural aspects.  There will be a culminating performance that will allow students to show what they have learned.
