Tuesday & Wednesday, Feb. 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. in the Black Box Theater
Director Chris Tibbetts is looking for five men and three women of all ages. Actors will be asked to read from the script. They should bring a resume, a headshot or photo, and their planners or calendars in order to determine rehearsal conflicts.
Rehearsals will begin March 1. Nine performances will be given April 16 through May 2 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. as well as Sundays at 2 p.m.
From the author of Lend Me a Tenor comes a hilarious comedy with something for everyone. Leo and Jack are struggling Shakespearean actors who have finally hit on a plan to use their talents to strike it rich - they’re going to trick a dying heiress into believing they’re her long-lost heirs. Complications ensue when our quick-witted thespians discover those long-lost heirs are female, and must alter their disguises. This sets in motion a course of wild antics that involve mistaken identities, star-crossed love, and an ill-begotten production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night.
Tibbetts has worked as a director, actor, playwright, and performance teacher at theaters and schools across the country. He recently directed Light Up the Sky for Starting Gate Productions, Oliver! and The Man Who Came to Dinner for Heritage Theatre Company, as well as Bullets and Beauties, The Vegetable, Love Letters and Quilters for Lex-Ham Community Theater.
